This 44-year-old patient desired a more shapely and fuller breast after several pregnancies. She wanted a moderate-sized implant with a very natural result. Because the patient’s nipple was located at the inframammary fold, she was given the option of a Mastopexy (breast lift) with Augmentation, or a Dual Plane Augmentation (without lift). The patient ultimately wanted to avoid the vertical scars of a Mastopexy, so she opted for a Dual Plane Augmentation. This is a very effective technique to help avoid the need for a breast lift and still allow the implant to be placed under the muscle when a patient presents with a small amount of breast laxity. A smooth round moderate-profile gel implant from Allergan was used, 405 cc bilaterally. After results shown are at the 3 month post-operative office visit.
