Breast Lift in Dallas and Frisco

Triple board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Solomon performs expert mastopexy by mapping symmetry, aligning folds, and setting nipple height before volume. Implants are usually not needed - adequate fullness can perk with lift alone, restoring youthful contour and upper-pole support.

Our Approach to

Breast Lift

Lifestyle factors like pregnancy, weight fluctuations, and aging often cause breasts to lose their youthful shape and sag. If you're unhappy with the position or a "deflated" look, a breast lift (mastopexy) is the solution. Dr. Solomon’s surgery focuses entirely on restoring a perkier contour by tightening excess skin, lifting the internal breast tissue, and repositioning the nipple-areola complex. Stretched areolas can also be resized to restore proportion.

Implants are not always necessary. A lift alone is often enough to create a full, rounded shape if you have sufficient natural tissue. To explore your options for a breast lift in Dallas, schedule a private consultation with Dr. Solomon at our certified facility.

Circumareolar Lift or Donut Mastopexy

This is done using a circular incision around the areola and typically only repositions the nipple without addressing the underlying breast tissue. This procedure is appropriate for women with a very minor degree of inferior displacement of the nipple. There will be a circumferential scar around the areola.

This procedure is also ideal for someone with a well-positioned or slightly lower nipple, but with a wide areola that needs to be reduced in diameter. Typically, an incision extending only along half the circumference of the areola is used as a modification for women with these anatomical structures.

Vertical Mastopexy

In addition to an incision around the areola, there is a vertical incision running down the surface of the breast. The incision resembles a lollipop. This procedure repositions both the sagging breast tissue and the descended nipple, and places them higher up on the breast mound. Excess skin is also removed, giving the breast a firm and pleasing contour.

Anchor or Inverted T Lift

This is performed similar to the vertical mastopexy, but the incision is more “T” shaped. This procedure is typically utilized for women with excessive breast sagging with a lot of skin needing to be removed from the lower part of the breasts. Some women with overly large breasts that need a reduction are also good candidates for this procedure.

Women who have changes in breast shape and volume due to aging and childbirth are good candidates for a surgical breast lift. These changes are typically manifested by sagging of the breast, inferior displacement of the nipple, and loose skin. During the initial consultation, the need for an implant can be addressed depending on one’s individual anatomy and desires.

Your initial recovery is focused on protecting your new shape. You will wear a specialized support garment to minimize swelling and support the breasts as they settle. Dr. Solomon provides a detailed aftercare plan to follow. The goal is a smooth transition back to your lifestyle, enjoying a lifted, proportional profile that looks natural in clothing and swimwear.

Any surgical procedure has risks. However, choosing a triple-board certified plastic surgeon like Dr. Matthias Solomon drastically minimizes complications, as this certification demonstrates a profound commitment to safety and ethics. Dr. Solomon reviews all potential risks, which are rare but may include:

  • Asymmetry
  • Unfavorable scarring
  • Changes in nipple or breast sensation
  • Infection or bleeding
  • Need for revision surgery
Combining Breast Lift With
Other Procedures
Many women choose to combine a breast lift with other cosmetic procedures to achieve a more comprehensive transformation in a single surgery.

Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation is a cosmetic procedure that utilizes gel or saline implants to create the desired shape, size, and fullness of the breasts.

Breast Reduction

A breast reduction is designed to remove excess breast tissue and skin in women who have an overly large chest in order to create a smaller bust size.

Tummy Tuck

A tummy tuck or abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure that is designed to remove unwanted fat from the abdomen for a more chiseled appearance.

Liposuction

Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure that surgically removes unwanted fat pockets from specific areas of the body via a specialized cannula device.

A combined approach may streamline the recovery process, allowing you to get transformative results without needing to have multiple surgeries.

FAQ
Do I Need a Breast Lift, Implants, or Both?

A breast lift reshapes and raises the breast; implants add volume and fullness. If your breasts have lost volume but your nipples still sit above the breast fold, implants alone may be enough. If your nipples sit at or below the fold, or point downward, a lift is usually needed to re-center the breast on the chest and avoid the “breast tissue falling off the implant” look. In many women, the best result comes from combining a lift with implants in the same surgery.

How Can I Tell at Home if I Might Need a Breast Lift?

One simple way is to look at the nipple position in relation to the crease under your breast. If the nipple sits below the breast fold or points downward, that’s a strong sign you may benefit from a lift. Significant sagging after pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss, or aging are also common reasons women choose a breast lift.

What Questions Should I Ask During My Breast Lift Consultation?

Ask about your surgeon’s board certification, experience with breast lifts, and how many mastopexies they perform each year. Request to see before-and-after photos of patients with a similar body type and degree of sagging. It’s also important to discuss which technique they recommend for you, where your scars will be, what risks exist, and what your realistic result is likely to be in the short and long term.

Can a Breast Lift Help Improve Symmetry Between My Breasts?

Yes, Dr. Solomon can lift and reshape each breast individually to give you a more balanced look. This may include adjusting nipple position or volume as needed.

How Noticeable Are the Scars from a Breast Lift, and Is There Anything I Can Do to Minimize Them?

Most breast lifts involve a scar around the areola, a vertical line down the lower breast, and sometimes a short horizontal scar in the crease (the “anchor” pattern). Dr. Solomon will place these incisions carefully so they’re hidden in natural borders and folds. Scars start out pink and firm, then fade and soften over time with proper care, though they never disappear completely.
You can help minimize their visibility by following post-surgical care guidelines, keeping the area moisturized, and avoiding sun exposure.

Will a Breast Lift Affect My Ability to Breastfeed in the Future?

In most cases, a breast lift does not interfere with breastfeeding, as the milk ducts and nipple are often left intact. However, some individuals may experience changes in their ability to breastfeed. Dr. Solomon will discuss the potential impact based on your anatomy and goals before surgery.

What Are the Age Restrictions for Breast Lift Surgery?

While there is no strict age restriction, breast lifts are typically recommended for those who are at least 18 and whose breasts have fully developed. Many candidates are in their 30s or older, often after experiencing changes due to aging, weight fluctuations, or pregnancy.

Are There Financing Options Available for Breast Lift Procedures?

At Solomon Plastic Surgery, we offer financing through CareCredit, which lets you pay in monthly installments instead of a lump sum. During your consultation, we’ll go over the full cost, including the surgeon’s fee, anesthesia, and facility costs.
Minor in-office revisions within six months are included at no extra charge, while more complex revisions may have some additional costs. Financing can be a flexible option to help manage these expenses, and our team is here to discuss the best approach for your needs.

Will a Breast Lift Make Me Go Up A Cup Size?

No. A breast lift is a shaping procedure, not a sizing one. It moves your existing tissue to a higher position. While your breasts will look significantly perkier and fuller in clothing, your cup size will technically remain the same.

How Long After Surgery Can I Go Bra Shopping?

You must wait until swelling has fully subsided and your new breast shape has settled, which takes time. Dr. Solomon will advise when you are cleared to transition from your surgical support garment to regular or underwire bras.

Will I Always Need Implants With A Breast Lift?

Absolutely not. Implants are only required if your goal includes adding volume or significant upper-pole fullness. If you have sufficient natural tissue, a breast lift alone is highly effective at creating a perkier, rounded, and proportionate shape.

How Long Do Breast Lift Results Last?

A breast lift turns back the clock, but it doesn’t stop it. Your breasts will continue to age and respond to gravity, weight changes, pregnancy, and lifestyle factors. That said, most patients enjoy a lifted, more youthful breast shape for many years, especially if their weight is stable and they wear good support. Your surgeon can give you a realistic sense of how long your result is likely to last based on your skin quality and anatomy.
