Patient with primarily loss of muscle tone and outward protrusion of abdomen after pregnancy and childbirth. This was a challenging patient given minimal excess skin. Traditionally the scar is placed high in such circumstances and will unfortunately show above the underwear line. A full tummy tuck with muscle tightening and belly button reshaping was done. However, using the 3D tummy tuck technique, extensive release of tissue was done without compromise in blood flow and healing problems unlike the traditional technique. This enabled placement of the scar very low and fully covered within the underwear line. Also note the flat and shapely contour in the side profile from rectus muscle tightening and the natural un-operated appearance of the belly button.
